The Nexus Force Needs Your Help!

With the Maelstrom still sending out corrupted minifigs to destroy imagination, the Nexus Force is always in need of more minifigs to help stop them! The Sentinels, Assembly, Paradox, and Venture League factions are all looking for creative recruits with strong imaginations to come up with new and creative ways to stop the Maelstrom before they destroy more LEGO Universe worlds. Do you think you have what it takes?

Posted Image

Welcome to the first LegoUni.com creativity contest! Our contests will test your creativity and imagination, just like in LEGO Universe! Hopefully there will be many more to come in the future!

In this contest, you will need to choose one of the four LEGO Universe factions: Sentinels, Assembly, Paradox or Venture League. Once you've chosen your favorite faction, you will need to think of a creative and useful object or building that you think would help your specific faction in the battle against the Maelstrom. Be sure to keep to your faction's theme! If you need a description of what a certain faction is all about, feel free to make a post in this thread to ask!

All contest entries should be posted here in this thread. They can include pictures (preferably made by you!) of real LEGO creations, drawings, or pictures from the LEGO Digital Designer. Entries can also be text descriptions of you're not able to post a picture! The contest will run until Wednesday, August 4th - Please have entries in before midnight Pacific time!

The most creative and unique item from each faction will be given the grand prize of a LEGO Universe Beta Key and a special forum title relating to your faction! Under the circumstance that the grand prize winner already has a Beta invite, the runner up will be given the key! In addition, three runner-ups from each faction will also get a special forum title!

I'd like to encourage everyone to participate in the contest to flex those creativity muscles! What are you waiting for?

If you need help posting pictures to our gallery, check out this guide!

Special thanks to Lightman for setting that up!

You can still enter! You can just describe what you would make! Make sure you write it out in detail though!

this basically sums the factions up. The Assembly are builders, controlling The Monument and Assembly Plaza, The Sentinels are fighters, like knights and samarai (closest I could get to the spelling),they control a lot of Avant Gardens, the Venture League are explorers, and basically control a lot of gnarled forest, and Paradox are supposedly related to ninjas, but are sorcerors and space marauders, they control most of Forbidden Valley.
Correct me if Im wrong

I have a general question. How do you get a picture on here? All I see is "insert image" and it can only be from a URL. It would be even more helpful if anyone could say how to get an image from Lego Designer on here (for I have my design done).

If you would like to post it in the gallery, you can go that route. Then simply right click the image in the gallery, and click "view picture" then copy that URL.

For example:

Below is a 1963 Corvette. Only the best of the Assembly would battle the Maelstrom in style! Driving from place to place, painting the car in purple, melted plastic. Is there any other better way to enjoy Lego Universe?

This specially made 1963 Corvette is made of the best plastic in Lego Universe. Able to go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds with a cubically calibrated V8 engine while sitting comfortably in the softest plastic imaginable. The dual exhaust caps allow for optimal fuel efficiency. To add a brilliant sheen look, there's a split rear window and sleek hood. When you enter Lego Universe, be sure to travel in luxury and be the top block!

See other angles in the gallery. Special thanks to Jayko.

(Reminder, I have a beta key already)

A faction is what affiliation you belong to. In Lego Factions are Assembly (engineers), Sentinels (knights), Paradox (ninjas), and Venture League (pirates) as stated in Rishea's post. You get to choose your faction when you start out in the game.

Awesome! :D I'll see what I can come up with...

um, isn't Wednesday Aug. 4th?

question: do the objects/buildings need to look exactly like lego? Like do they have to be (or look exactly like) actual lego pieces? What i'm trying to say is, can I draw stuff that doesnt exsist, and possibly couldn't exsist on acutal lego guys in real life. I confused myself...

I'm not saying that what I want to create couldn't exsist, i'm just saying IDK if I can draw it to look exactly like lego would in real life. I'm gonna have a digital lego guy -wearing- it, but I don't think you could build it out of actual LEGO (or put it on a real LEGO guy).

I think I got it... Does what we create have to use exsisting LEGO pieces?

sorry -.- sometimes I mess myself up when trying to figure out how to word something lol.

edit again: scratch that. What I'm gonna do is more of a design for what I would like to have in LU. :)

I see nothing wrong with drawing your picture Lightman. At the very top, it says you can submit a picture of a lego design your created, or a drawing, or one from lego designer.

If you draw a picture I personally would have fun making a lego version of it with lego designer.

There are four different groups you can choose to team up with in the game. Each one has different things they're special for or good at.

-The Sentinels are like the protectors, like knights.
-The Assembly are good at building things to help fight the Maelstrom. They can build things like vehicles and turrets quickly in the middle of a battle to help.
-Paradox use darker things to help them fight. Kind of like magic, summoning creatures, or ninjas.
-The Venture League are like the explorers. They have things like daredevils and pirates. They brave and fearless and they use things like flare guns and bombs.

Hope this helps!

I dont have legos in real life because there are no local lego stores but I do have an idea
The Paradox's secret weapon.
It's a rock.
A rock? Nonononono. Not just a rock. Its a MAGIC ROCK that would be thrown and then it turns into ninja stars, and then splits and explodes on contact with evil plastic. Due to secret weaponry technology it goes through regular plastic, meaning no friendly fire accidents.
...
I really hope that I win this.

Thanks for the help. I dont have time to add a picture to my signiture right now though

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

My contest entry would be a ship called the Time Paradox for, you guessed it, Paradox. It would be a lot like the Venture Explorer, except bigger. It would be divided into four sections. The biggest would be a Maelstrom refinery, like in Avant and FV. The second part would be a Paradox training facility, teaching Sorcerors and Space Marauders the ways of Paradox, fighting dragons, Stromlings, and Dark Ronin. Third, Research facilities, conducting tests on Stromlings and the Maelstrom, plus imagination. Last is the testing facilities. there they test new technology.

Thats my entry. Its the best name I could come up with. (PMRTFRFTF doesnt work well.) I'll try to add pictures later. Remember, I dont need a BETA key.

When you say the winner gets their own Forum, where is it located?

Add one part. a huge dome with rocket pads, build station, shops, and a space observatory.
